I added google ads to the thing, and an ad for thebear but I doubt I’ll make any money - so far I’ve made $9.33. Woop.
On the eve of having been dry for four months I’m feeling rubbish. I have a headache that has persisted since yesterday, have a bit of a cough and am generally feeling crap.
I dragged myself in to work though. As a new temp I wouldn’t get paid for yesterday, there’s a chance my assignment wouldn’t want me back for the rest of the week and the agency may brand me as one suffering from Mondayitis.
I don’t have much work to do though, I’m pretending to be busy while I wait for someting to do. I’d rather be in bed.
I hope I get a positive reply from some of the jobs I’ve applied for.
Having a nose around a charity shop yesterday I spotted an item of geek apparel for the grand sum of £3.49.
After snapping it up and bringing it home I find it to be working perfectly and as new. The batteries were best before 2005, I’m presuming it has been languishing at the bottom of a wardrobe since its purchase, unworn and unloved.
I have checked online, and a Cyberdog equalizer t-shirt sells for £50 new! It can now languish in the bottom of my wardrobe, proud in the knowledge it has made me happy.
I haven’t worked for a couple of months so I decided to get a job. I applied for the local Tesco Extra petrol station but heard nothing back so I went for a bar job in a local pub.
To my surprise they had an application form (usually bar jobs are a case of asking) which was four A4 pages long and included work and education history. Having jobbed around for seven years I didn’t fill it in exhaustively but I did get to blow my own trumpet about barwork. They’d be daft not to employ me, so here’s hoping.
I’m in two minds about going back to barwork though - I don’t want tocause any more damage to my knee, but I do miss it.
I’ve decided to add a blog to my site. I doubt I’ll use it but you never know.
